Find tenders that fit your business
Make a reasoned bid or no-bid decision.
Search with purpose
Open the FTP Tender Portal. Search the goods or services you can supply, using related descriptions such as supply, installation or maintenance. Check the actual delivery location.
Verify the opportunity
Record the issuer, reference, deadline and official document link. Confirm the latest pack, compulsory briefings and any amendments before spending time on a bid.
Make the decision
Compare the specification with your people, suppliers, equipment and delivery capacity. If a compulsory requirement cannot be met, clarify it with the issuer rather than assuming it will be waived.
Shortlist three opportunities. For each, write one reason to bid and one unresolved question. Choose the strongest fit, not simply the largest value.
Optional. Keep identity numbers, bank details and passwords out of this note.
Remember: A shorter, better-qualified shortlist saves preparation time.
Connect your learning to funding guidance
Government, SOE & municipal supplier guides ↗
Check the buyer context, official tender sources and supplier preparation guidance. An issuer name alone does not establish funding eligibility.
Service summaries and linked guidance are in English. FTP assesses eligible government and municipal tender-linked transactions across South Africa. Private corporate orders, corporate invoices and general startup capital are outside its published funding model.
Translations support learning. Follow the original official tender documents. Linked services may use a different language.
