Why Fund The People exists
Closing the gap between winning work and delivering it
South African entrepreneurs can win meaningful orders and complete valuable work while still facing a practical cash-flow gap. Suppliers often require payment before delivery, while customers may pay only after goods or services have been accepted.
Fund The People addresses these cash-flow gaps through our own Purchase Order Funding Solutions and Invoice Discounting Solutions. Our team reviews each application against the business, awarded order or unpaid invoice and explains the requirements and terms of our solutions.
Our solutions connect purchase order fulfilment, supplier payments and post-delivery working capital. The Fund The People Tender Portal supports the earlier stage of finding relevant opportunities.
A connected SMME opportunity ecosystem
From tender discovery to working-capital support
Our Purchase Order Funding Solutions address qualifying supplier and delivery costs before customer payment. Our Invoice Discounting Solutions address the payment gap after qualifying work has been completed and invoiced. Both are Fund The People’s own solutions.

Founder and leadership
Praneshan Naidoo: experience across finance, enterprise development and procurement
Praneshan Naidoo founded Fund The People in January 2025. He is a South African entrepreneur and funding specialist with more than 20 years of experience across financial services, enterprise development and public-sector procurement.
His career began at Thomson Reuters in 2005 and progressed to Global Head of Marketing. His experience also includes enterprise and supplier development work across Eskom, Transnet and PRASA.
At Fund The People, that background is applied to the practical challenge facing capable SMMEs: understanding the working-capital gap between securing an opportunity, paying suppliers, completing delivery and receiving payment.
